One of the great things about Eeppe’s pet food is its versatility. It makes a great healthy mixer or topper with your dog’s regular kibble. As a gentle formula, Eeppe’s pet food transitions smoothly, so if you are feeding your dog a rotational diet, you can easily add Eeppe’s pet food to the mix.
We recommend using up Eeppe’s pet food in less than 6 months, although the food should stay unaffected if frozen for up to 12 months. Once defrosted, store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Once the food is thawed, do not refreeze. Eeppe’s pet food does not contain any preservatives or additives. Always store the food in the freezer.
For gradual thawing, it is best to put the frozen food into the fridge overnight. However, if you’re in a hurry, we suggest placing the entire package of food into a bowl of warm water (not hot) for a quicker thaw.
After the food has been properly thawed, if you’d like you can warm up the food. Please, never cook the food again. Your pet can eat the food just as well cold, but by warming it up, all the yummy aromas will be released making the meal much more appetizing for your pet.
We do not add any preservatives at all. The only preservation method that we use is freezing.
Not all carbohydrates are the same. There are definitely good and bad carbohydrates. At Eeppe, we use specific carbohydrate-rich ingredients that supply the animal with substantial nutritional benefits. Not only can carbohydrates be a superb source of energy given that they come from fresh food ingredients, they also introduce large quantities of vitamins, minerals, and dietary fiber into the diet.
We believe that our middle-ground approach of gently cooking our food reduces the risks associated with the two extremes of either feeding raw or overly processed commercial foods. It is a fact that not all animals can tolerate raw diets and many animals fed commercial diets develop food intolerances due to numerous, unnecessary additives. By gently cooking our food, we find that it improves digestion, allows for increased absorption of nutrients, and is gentler on the sensitive gastrointestinal tracts of dogs and cats. Without the many fillers, preservatives, and chemicals in Eeppe’s recipes, your pet will have a better chance of maintaining good health for many years to come.
When your pet transitions to any new food, it’s best to introduce it slowly so that they don’t experience any unwanted side effects, such as an upset stomach. Every dog is different, so transition times vary. The best method to transition is to gradually mix in an increasing amount of the new food with the old one over a period of time until your pet is 100% transitioned. This helps your pet’s digestive tract adapt to new ingredients. Keep an eye on their stool, as you will notice slight color changes or loose stool that can occur during the transition. Simply scale back the percentage of new food to old one, and transit a bit slower.
Unfortunately, at this time there is no safe and cost-effective way for us to send a single free sample to an individual. We do offer various sample pack options for those new to Eeppe’s pet food.
